Rule 5 Squared

Left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky’s Rule 5 states that “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” Kamala Harris set herself up for a dose of ridicule by allowing this obviously staged picture to be tweeted.Pro Tip #1: Experienced cooks don’t leave the packaging for raw chicken lying on a kitchen counter.

Pro Tip # 2: If you want an article of clothing to appear to be something used everyday, wash it at least once in order to remove the “just out of the box” creases.

Stacy McCain’s Rule 5 states that “Everybody loves a pretty girl.” Here’s a picture that ran in the Carroll County Times several years ago when Mrs. Hoge was running a personal cheffing business.

Rule 5

Yesterday, I posted a snapshot of Mrs. Hoge that was taken before we were married. I found it while I was going through some family files. Later yesterday evening, I came across some newspaper clippings of stories about her. Here are couple more pictures. The first is from an 1977 Indiana Daily Student story about her being the first person to graduate with a B.A. in Audio Production from IU.

The second is from a 2000 Carroll County Times story about Westminster’s Personal Chef, a business she operated for about ten years.

UPDATE—Corrected the date for the IDS article.

Team Kimberlin Post of the Day

Pointage, laughery, and mockification have been important tools in dealing with the various ways that Team Kimberlin have wound up on the short end of Rule 5 in various circumstances.

The Dread Pro-Se Kimberlin says he feels intimidated by the daily barrage of posts about him here at Hogewash!. I wonder … Is he intimidated by having truthful things written about him, such as how he has screwed up service of process in the Kimberlin v. The Universe, et al. RICO Madness in violation of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure Rule 5?

Connie_1983Or does he resent being ridiculed in the manner prescribed by Alinsky’s Rule 5 (“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”)?

Or does he resent that the defendants in his nuisance suits seem to have some of the best (McCain’s) Rule 5 pictures? That’s Mrs. Hoge (c. 1983) on the right.

On Rule 5 and Rule 5

There are two Rule 5s that apply here at Hogewash!. One is Alinsky’s Rule 5 which states

“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

The other is McCain’s Rule 5 from Stacy’s post How to Get a Million Hits on Your Blog in Less Than a Year which states

Everybody loves a pretty girl.

The Gentle Reader may have noticed that this site uses ridicule in its reporting on certain individuals. Hogewash! has also published images of beautiful women from time to time as is appropriate.

Today, I found an image in the comment section which was clearly intended to be an application of Alinsky’s Rule 5, but which is too far removed from wisdom embodied in McCain’s Rule 5 be appropriate for this blog. I’m going to leave the comment and its image up, but I ask that commenters refrain from posting such images in the future.

Some things are just too ugly.
