Becky Pringle is the president of the National Education Association. She’s posted this on X (TSMPFAKT)—Really? How are they broken? Do math tests no longer require proper computation of a sum? Do language tests no longer require proper grammar and usage? Do history tests no longer require a knowledge of what happened in the past?

Or are the students now taking standardized tests no longer being taught the proper subject matter?

I suspect the later is the case.

If the students haven’t learned, the teacher hasn’t taught.

Maybe it’s time to throughly reexamine the “educational” system we’re inflicting on our children?
