I’ve made very few factual errors in my reporting about Team Kimberlin, but a mistake has been verified, I’ve always published a correction. The TKPOTD for ten years ago today was one such retraction.

I wish to take this opportunity to issue a retraction and apology. On 2 November, 2012, I did a post that contained the following description of Bill Schmalfeldt:

His bumbling style reminds me of the Foreign Office klutz played by Rowan Atkinson in Never Say Never Again (Nigel Small-Fawcett).

Over the succeeding eleven months, it has become clear that was an unfair comparison, and I wish to retract that description and offer my sincere apology to Mr. Atkinson.

I don’t recall ever seeing a correction, let alone an apology, from Team Kimberlin for their false statements about me or anyone else.
