In the middle of the 19th century,  Eta Carinae experienced a huge explosion that been called the “Great Eruption.” This new time-lapse sequence contains imaged of Eta Carinae taken with Chandra X-ray Observatory in 1999, 2003, 2009, 2014, and 2020.
