Yesterday, we took a look at MAVEN’s view of summer in the southern hemisphere of Mars. Today, we’ll look at the other side of the planet during the northern summer. The rapidly changing seasons in the north polar region cause an abundance of white clouds. The deep canyons of Valles Marineris can be seen (tan) at lower left, along with many craters. Ozone appears magenta in this false color UV view.
