This image taken by ESO’s Very Large Telescope shows the disc around the young star AB Aurigae, where there are signs of planet birth. Near the center of the inner region of the disc, there’s a ‘twist’ that may be the region where a new planet is forming. This twist lies at about the same distance from the star as Neptune from the Sun.
