Dysnomia is the only known moon of the dwarf planet Eris and is probably the second-largest known moon of a dwarf planet after Pluto’s largest moon Charon. The Hubble image above was over-exposed so that Dysnomia would be visible. Eris has a very eccentric orbit and is currently roughly three times further from the Sun than Pluto.
