I’m Back, Sort Of

I’ve spent the last couple of days with this cold having intense fits of coughing, but the coughing was finally brought under control with some weapons-grade cough suppressant. Blogging will pick up again as I sober up from the medicine.

  1. Remove the dry skin off a clove of raw garlic. Chew up the clove of raw garlic. Eat it with some apple slices, maybe some milk. Eat the raw garlic after a meal to reduce chance of nausea. If the clove is too big, bite it in half.

The sulfides in garlic will help clear out the upper respiratory system. It also promotes t cell growth and improves the immune system.

  2. Benzonatate (Tessalon) is an inexpensive drug used to treat cough. It is more popular than comparable drugs. It is available in generic and brand versions. Generic benzonatate is covered by most Medicare and insurance plans, but some pharmacy coupons or cash prices may be lower.
