Four Important Rules

Given the recent news of what appears to be an accidental shooting on a movie set, it may useful to remind ourselves of four important rules.

1. All firearms are always handled as if they are loaded.

2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.

3. Keep your finger off the trigger until the sights are aligned with your target.

4. Be sure of your target.

AB broke all 4 rules. No wonder he is anti-gun, he knows he is a lethal hazard to others when he picks one up.

  2. They teach 7 here.
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded.
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction.
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire.
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt.
Rule 5: Check your firing zone.
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely.
