On Overreach

I suspect that the Democrats will have a brief but spectacular run at messing up the economy or getting us into some nasty foreign entanglement. In a burst of overreach not unlike the passing of Obamacare (“We have to pass the bill in order to find out what’s in it.”), they will quickly find themselves in a-bridge-too-far land. It’s inevitable because they simply cannot follow the wisdom in Oscar Wilde’s bon mot: “One should always play fairly when one has the winning cards.” They cheat even when they don’t have to.

The next couple of years are going to be brutal. The following two won’t be much better.

  1. “By any means necessary” has been the “progressives'” mantra, so cheating and lying are simply useful tools to “progressives”.

The sociopathic narcissism that directs the “progressive” thought process means anyone who doesn’t think the same as them is not worth talking to, let along working with.

In the “progressives'” quest to implement the “progressive” vision, other people are simply in the way of how other people should exist.

  2. You know I love you, you poor simple rocket scientist, but wait until the market goes down 3000 points and gas hits 5 per gallon. Dont think we are going to have to wait 2 years…

    • I don’t do rocket science. My game is applied quantum mechanics. As for a 10 percent drop in the Dow, I’m betting on that happening by Memorial Day. 5 buck per gallon gas will hit about the same time, perhaps sooner on the left coast.

      • I can’t spell quantum” oh i agree, with your time table for sure and Manchin switches parties followed by Sienna
