I was wondering why he didn’t just have a briefing laying out the basic facts.. that it’s a virus, but it’s not the flu or a cold virus. That it’s lethal, but looking to be in the range of 1-5%, and that there are no currently extant effective treatments but quite a lot of work is being done, along with studies on various ones. Same with the two major branches working on an eventual vaccine. Then the facts about known transmission methods and such.
..but that would require a President who cares about facts and truth. The reality is Trump doesn’t know shit and is proud of not knowing shit, even in a situation where not knowing shit kills people.
Stop cheerleading ignorance. This isn’t going to end the world, but the more people who get it and the faster they get it the more people who will die from it. And knowledge isn’t some kind of poison.
