Team Kimberlin Post of the Day

During the government shutdown last winter, the IRS facility processing non-for-profit fillings fell behind and it’s just now catching up. As I noted a few days ago, the IRS has taken not of Protect Our Elections/EMPR Inc’s failure to file a return for three years, and that entity’s tax-exempt status has been revoked.

Justice Through Music Project has been making timely filings, and the IRS now has that Form 990 available online—

2017 appears to have been a rough year for JTMP. It lost a lot of money, and according to the Schedule L, it borrowed $25,500 from Brett Kimberlin in 2017.

  1. Kimberlin has an extra $25k to lend to one of his ‘do nothing’ nonprofits, but not enough to pay his legal obligations? I bet the DeLong estate would be interested in this information.

  2. That “Print and Publication” budget though. Pretty sure that should read “Bribes and Embezzlement”

    • Has anybody ever seen a publication that this “non-profit” has put out?

I it amusing that between @013-2017 it received $2,362,555 and kimberlin spent it all.
