Fauxcahontas to Head B-Card Debate

A random drawing has placed Elizabeth Warren as the only candidate polling among the top five on the first evening of the upcoming Democrat debates. Corrie Booker, Robert O’Rourke, Amy Klobuchar, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Julian Castro, Tim Ryan, Bill de Blasio, and Jay Inslee are scheduled to join her.

The A-Card debate the following night includes Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Kirsten Gillibrand, Michael Bennet, Marianne Williamson, Eric Swalwell, Andrew Yang, and John Hickenlooper.

  1. Either she gets a chance to stand out against 2nd tier candidates or she looks like she belongs in the second tire. Sounds kind of dangerous for her. She’s not obviously good off-the-cuff, and if she sounds too rehearsed and wooden (a good bet), she may sink like a stone.

    • Warren cannot possibly exceed expectations on that stage in that crowd.

If she wins decisively, that meets expectations.

If she crashes and burns (a strong possibility) she fails, but only to the limit of the media’s effort to shore her up.

The proper level of expectation for her is to walk away saying “Oh, thank God I diddn’t screw up too badly!”
