The Wild Duck Cluster

The Wild Duck ClusterThe Wild Duck Cluster (aka Messier 11) is an open cluster in the constellation Scutum. It’s one of the richest and most compact of known open clusters. It’s home to around 2900 stars. Its nickname comes from the brighter stars which form a triangle said to resemble a flying flock of ducks.
