  1. I’d like to say that there is much wisdom in that quote, but I don’t know if I’m wise enough to make that judgement. My wife would probably say I’m not 🙂

  2. Lots of ways to evaluate the value of the result. Lewis said in another context that the questions we should ask before we do anything are (in this order), “Is it righteous? Is it prudent? Is it possible?” So right out of the chute I’d have to say a lot of what passes for morality is not righteous. A lot of government policies are not prudent. Too much of what politicians promise is not possible. So that leaves us dependent on God for our truths.
