An FBI Investigation?

The Senate Judiciary Committee has made a criminal referral to the DoJ and FBI regarding false statements made to the Committee during its investigation of the Kavanaugh nomination. The redactions are in the document published by the Committee.

I believe this qualifies as punching back twice as hard.

  1. I anticipate that delaying for additional FBI work this week will enable more ragingly partisan democrats to come out of the woodwork with additional salacious claims. I wondered if the major media outlets would spotlight the Grassley referral as a warning to the public at large to be careful about making unsubstantiated allegations. Especially to the committee.

After all, any allegations EASILY refuted hurt the anti-Kavanaugh efforts of all the rest. And could lead to personal liability. Well.

nytimes.com makes NO mention of the Grassley referral on the front page of their website.

washingtonpost.com makes NO mention of the Grassley referral on the front page of their website.

msnbc.com makes NO mention of the Grassley referral on the front page of their website.

cnn.com, to their credit, DOES make makes mention of the Grassley referral on the front page of their website. Good for them.

Three out of four major Resistance media sites either ignored or buried the story that the senate has pointed the justice department directly at a citizen.

Instapundit is fond of the Jim Treacher quote, “Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn’t know because they might reflect badly on Democrats.”

    Just so. Yep.

    • I await the day when the government treats the resistance like they advertise themselves to be – an illegal campaign to disrupt the elected government.
