Team Kimberlin Post of the Day

Occasionally, Bill Schmalfeldt complains that someone has sent a mean comment to one of his blogs. Imagine that! Mean comments to a blog on the Internet!

The Cabin Boy™ isn’t the only blogger who receives harassing comments. A post about Commenters’ IP Addresses from two years ago today dealt with comments received here.

The Cabin Boy™ has tweeted a list of IPs that he says are associated with offensive comments sent to his blogs. Hogewash! has also received comments for three of the same IP address:

5.79.68.161 a TOR relay
96.31.64.186 a server hosting proxy and VPN domains
178.32.53.94 a TOR relay

Here’s a sample comment from one of those IP addresses—Offensive Comment

Hmmmm.

One significant difference between the harassing comments received by Hogewash! and those allegedly directed to the Cabin Boy™ is that none I’ve received originated from IP address 127.0.0.1.

  1. William should really block that 127.0.0.1 address! Nothing good ever seems to come from there.
