Crash course!! Ahhhh-hahahahahaha I managed to crash my university’s sole mainframe back in 1990 over the Thanksgiving weekend. I was writing code for LISREL in a wretched language named SUPERWYLBUR (I’m sure that meant something — what, I don’t know). The only person on the mainframe besides me was the console operator. I took that baby down around 2 AM Sunday night/Monday morning by making a single mistake in only 400 or so lines of code.
I also caught holy hell from my department the following morning.
It took of us about 40 hours to find and fix the problem.
One of my many talents is exploiting bugs in software that practically have no existence. The Comp Sci PhDs were in awe of me.
BASIC one, I believe.
Basic Systems Operations Diploma, a.k.a. BSOD.
ISWYDT
Veni, vidi, Vista.
I came, I saw, it crashed.
