Team Kimberlin Post to the Day

During the Hoge v. Kimberlin, et al. lawsuit last year, I attempted to serve a subpoena on Justice Through Music Project. Because that entity is a corporation, I tried to serve the Registered Agent. The Resident Agent listed with Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation was Jeffrey R. Cohen. The address given was a residence in Bethesda. The subpoena could not be served at that address because Mr. Cohen had sold that house and moved to the District of Columbia, Further inquiries found that his license to practice law had been suspended in Maryland.

Yesterday morning, someone did a search here at Hogewash! for the tag “jeffrey-cohen.” That piqued my curiosity, so I did a bit of searching myself. I found that the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation website still lists Mr. Cohen at the old Bethesda address as the corporation’s Resident Agent. The 2016 IRS Form 990 for JTMP isn’t available online yet, but it will be interesting to see who signed it. Jeffrey Cohen was listed as the Executive Director on past filings and the corporate address was his old Bethesda residence.

Stay tuned.
