Enceladus and Saturn’s Rings

This image was taken by the Cassini spacecraft in 2011 when it passed within 145,000 km of Saturn’s moon Enceladus. The plume of water ice from the moon’s south pole is lit by sunlight mostly falling on the far side of the moon.
