I received a phone call a few minutes ago from Louis Nettles, the lawyer representing my codefendants and me pro bono in LOLsuit VIII: Avoiding Contact. The suit is now officially dead.

I wish to thank Mr. Nettles for his help.

Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen.

UPDATE—I’ll just make one other point concerning LOLsuit VIII for now. As I’ve noted before, I’m not through with Bill Schmalfeldt yet. The proper next step depended on the outcome of this case. Now that it is resolved, the appropriate course of action is defined.

Based on advice from our lawyer, I’ve not published much about  this case while it was in progress. I’ll have more to tell the Gentle Readers about LOLsuit VIII over the next few days.

Stay tuned.

  1. Odd that the finest legal mind of his imagination could be bested by a mere qualified, practicing lawyer.

    Congratulations all round!

  2. Hey Bill,
How does it feel to be so dammed stupid that you have now lost your eighth lawsuit you filed in a row?
Don’t you feel the least bit bad about sucking on the taxpayer tit to fund you abject stupidity?
If I was a taxpayer in SC I’d want to kick your ass for wasting so much of my money. But I guess when you’ve made it your life’s work to suck as much out of society as you can while giving nothing in return you really don’t feel shame anymore.

BTW,you ever pay the sanctions you owe you deadbeat?

      • I gave up hoping the courts would hold him responsible for his actions long ago. I think Bill knows that the courts write this shit off and he knows he can scam them with impunity.

    • But it’s without prejudice! He can [redacted – no South Carolina Marine Mammals Education Certificate], can’t he?

Oh, wait, because of [redacted – you didn’t think I would leave that in, did you?] a very poor choice of action.

  4. How long before the plaintiff tries to spin that the defendants’ motions were denied (leaving out “as moot”)?

  5. Well, dammit…

Now where is he going to get the scratch to buy a ring?

    …pay for the wedding?

…fix the vandalized graveyard she calls a mouth?

    …spay the cat?

    …replenish the liquor cabinet?

  6. Congrats to those of you with the real skin in the game!!! I’m very happy for you guys!! Even though you are 8-0 against the Cabin Boy, let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you.

  8. Okay, I’m very confused. Does this mean Bill won’t be getting multiple wives and houses, etc? Wasn’t he counting on a big win? Is he living under an overpass?
This doesn’t to have turned out at all as he promised since he was working “professional to professional” with a real lawyer. The defendants were going to abase themselves and settle for big bucks, right? This is very confusing. I don’t see how it could end like this.

  9. He has lost so many times due to jurisdiction. Could he really be enough of a DUMBF5CK to move back to a state where jurisdiction could apply?

It would make it easier for the Marshall to serve him, but then again they’ve served people in cardboard boxes under bridges before (how embarrassing!).
