One of the moonbat causes that Brett Kimberlin has supported through his not-for-profits is the campaign against GMO foods. The TKPOTD from three years ago today dealt with his anti-GMO website.

A visit to Brett Kimberlin’s anti-GMO-food website (citizensagainstgmo.com) reminded me of a 1937 quote from George Orwell:
One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words “Socialism” and “Communism” draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, “Nature Cure” quack, pacifist, and feminist in England.
In America these days, it’s “Progressives” that fit Orwell’s bill.
Of course, Brett “legitimate” businesses that he used to launder his drug money were a health food store and restaurant, so he has been associated with moonbat cuisine for decades. Still, I wonder if the site generates many clicks on the Donate button? Given that it hasn’t be updated for about a year-and-a-half, probably not.
BTW, I am pleased to announce that the Orville Redenbacher popcorn offered by Hogewash! via Amazon does contain GMO corn.

About a year after that TKPOD was published, The
Dread Deadbeat Publisher Kimberlin put up a series of posts that included misleading information about Monsanto being “tried” in The Hague for “crimes against humanity” because of the GMO seeds they sell. The “trial” was not before the International Court of Justice or under any UN or governmental auspice. It was conducted by a kangaroo court of activists.
As I’ve noted before, Brett Kimberlin and his organizations oppose “Frankenfoods.” They would prefer to have upwards of a half-million children die each year from vitamin A deficiency rather than have golden rice available in poor countries. They would rather Africans starve than let them plant insect- or blight-resistance corn.
OTOH, poor Asian and African kids aren’t likely to hit a donate button on a JTMP or Velvet Revolution dot US webpage, whereas there may be a few anti-science moonbats who still donate.
