  1. It seems someone FORGOT that the Civil Rights Bill only passed because of Republicans overwhelmingly voting for it in the House and Senate while Democrats tried to stop it.

I wonder if he knows that the vaunted civil rights leader LBJ was the one who stopped the same bill from becoming law in 1957 when he was the Senate Majority Leader???

  2. Ds have no civil rights heroes, period. They’ve always been the party of division, racial preferences, and out-right expressions if supremacism.

  3. The Dems have Byrd as their civil rights hero. They could say Kennedy but he discriminated against young drowning females. They could say Hillary but an ex white house cook says she regularly used the “N” word; and Billy buy campaigned with Gore using confederate imagery.

There is also the LBJ who “reportedly referred to the Civil Rights Act of 1957 as the “nigger bill” in more than one private phone conversation with Senate colleagues. And he reportedly said upon appointing African-American judge Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Court, “Son, when I appoint a nigger to the court, I want everyone to know he’s a nigger.””

  4. The Republicans have plenty of civil rights heroes even today. There have been numerous prominent people on the right publically and recognizably protecting the 1st, 2nd, and 10th amendments, and fighting against the encroachment of the god-states upon our lives. Perhaps the author only thinks of civil rights as whatever is important to democrats?
