Voting Rights

A Social Justice website has a post up pondering on whether men should be allowed to vote.

However one can’t be sure if withdrawing the white man’s vote could be considered a “wrong”. Furthermore, the point here that has to be made is that banning white men from voting temporarily will help them understand  systemic injustice and help them become better, more empathetic allies to the social justice cause.

None of the men pictured below were available for comment.

    • SJW’s always tickle me. So, you say white males should be disenfranchised to make up for abuses in the past? That’s fine, but then let’s start disenfranchising anyone that does not own property. That’s the way most countries still do it around the world today.

Boy, do their whiny, Birkenstock wearing, apartment living butts shut up fast then!!

  1. Look at the last name of the author. Think about anagrams.

    No, I don’t think it’s a coincidence. heh.

  2. Something that seems to ignored in all these ruminations, besides why there is ‘rule of law’, is who or how do you define race? Their own world view rests on the ability to claim to be anything they want to be. So more will to owner nonsense.

  3. Btw, the people in that picture are all WHITE MEN, so their opinions don’t count! EVAH!!!!!

I just fired an HR drone the other day for saying something discounting a group on the basis of gender, age, and race (“old black women”, in this case), so I’m a bit touchy on this subject at the moment.

On the flip side, an object lesson for the rest of HR, and my other employees, is an excellent thing. 😉

    • Fairly certain it’s not by a teen
      Already mentioned, but bears repeating:
      Maila Rolt = I Am A Troll

Easy to miss, as we tend to respond to the content of arguments presented rather than look for stupid ad-hominems against the author first, (like assuming you’re going to win a court case just because you called the other guy “The world’s worst lawyer”)

The ad-hom comes later, as merited by the idiocy of the arguments attempted.

  4. The people who should have the right to vote are exactly the people who produce some good or service and stand to lose some or all of it though taxation or regulation. Besides that you can include more, but you best not include less.

Social justice restricting a group’s rights doesn’t turn them into allies who, having walked a mile in your shoes, suddenly see the light. It just turns them increasingly hostile. A person who couldn’t foresee that lacks empathy and should not be complaining about other people’s.

    • I figure individuals should get the same number of votes as the total number of dollars they pay in taxes.

Pay no taxes, have no votes. Pay millions, have millions of votes.

You have skin in the game, you get to pick the players…

  5. HuffPoo South Africa ran a similar piece a while back, and it turned out to be professional trolling. People got a real kick out of the magazine editors trying to support it when the pushback first started.

  6. A fair number of the young men in that LSM were too young to vote, as many states and a 21-yo voting age.
