I think it is barbaric the way Italians speak Latin….
But, didn’t the Stone Age end when we ran out of stones?
hate to be pedantic, but Latin “died out” in the same way that Old English “died out”.
It just morphed into modern forms. In fact, it’s fair to say that the modern English language itself is simply a combination of evolved Old English and evolved Latin, with a big pile of vocabulary from across the world tossed in.
