1. The online docket for the Walker v. Kimberlin, et al. lawsuit has been updated to reflect the outcome of yesterday’s hearing.
2. The return of service affidavits for Brett and Tetyana Kimberlin in the Hoge v. Kimberlin, et al. lawsuit should be filed with the Circuit Court for Carroll County before close of business today.
3. Yesterday, I received a notice from the Clerk of the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit advising me that Brett Kimberlin has filed an appeal of the Kimberlin v. Hunton & Williams LLP, et al. lawsuit (aka Kimberlin v. Team Themis, et al. RICO 2: Electric Boogaloo LOLsuit). Although there were no federal claims alleged against me and, therefore, no federal issues appealable against me, I have retained new pro bono counsel to represent me before the Fourth Circuit should The Dread Pro-Se Kimberlin be foolish enough to name me as an appellee. He was smart enough to drop me from the state RICO 2 Retread LOLsuit he filed against the other RICO 2 defendants, but if he keeps me in his appeal, I have instructed my counsel that murum aries attigit.

Can someone explain this? I thought they were served at the hearing.
The plaintiff has to file affidavits by the person who served the Kimberlins attesting to the fact that he served them at a certain place on a certain date and time.
So, that starts the clock ticking on a number of different possible things.
With Brett, that’s not always a good thing.
After a summons is served, the person making the service sends a “return” to the court. If the service is by a sheriff (or his deputy), there is a prescribed form. If the service is made by someone else, then that person files an affidavit with the return stating when and where service was made.
Ah OK, thanks everyone. Having never been served (outside of a restaurant) or serving anyone (outside of my old fast food job) this is all…complex to me.
