Ihre Papiere, Bitte!

The NY Times reports that the TSA is making noises about enforcing the requirement for having a Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state ID card (or passport or other approved ID) before boarding a commercial airplane.

Minnesota licenses are not compliant, and the waivers for Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, and Washington licenses have expired. The waivers for California, New Jersey, and South Carolina may expire on 10 January.

The TSA is from the government, and they’re here to help.

  1. So the liberal desire to be nice to illegal aliens by giving them a driver license is conflicting with the TSA’s need for secure ID? Who could have seen this one coming???

    • No need for you to go to the polling places in Illinois, your nice neighborhood Committeeman will take your phone call and cast your vote for you, no matter what political party you (think you) want to vote for. Especially in Chicago. No need to show up and Vote, we’ve already cast your ballot for you!

      Trust us…

We call it “Auto-Voting” and it is a feature, not a bug, of Chicago-Style Politics.

  2. These papers expired three weeks ago, you’ll have to come along.

I’m sure that the similarity to that scene from the beginning of Casablanca ends there, though.
