New Horizons Sends Back Better Images of Pluto

This movie is composed of the sharpest views of Pluto that New Horizons obtained during its flyby on 14 July, 2015. The pictures are part of a sequence taken near the spacecraft’s closest approach to Pluto and have resolution of around 80 m per pixel—revealing features roughly the size of a football field. The images show a wide variety of cratered, mountainous, and glacial terrains.
