Fun Fact: when linguist Marc Okrand created the Klingon language, he chose to not give it a passive voice. To further that, he made a point of not including the one verb essential to using the passive voice: “to be.”
Then Star Trek VI came along, and the whole “Shakespeare was a Klingon” thing, and guess what quote from the Bard they chose to include…
It is not known how long Okrand took to stop swearing (in several languages) and come up with the necessary words…
