Off topic – I received a reply back from Heidi Zimmerman, MTSU’s Counsel, on BS’s attempts to find out information about “Andrew Ballard” from the registrar’s office. According to Ms. Zimmerman any information given out to BS was directory information releasable under FERPA in compliance with MTSU polic, state and federal laws. However, they were unaware of BS’s history of harassment and stalking or the multiple restraining and protective orders until I helpfully provided them with the information.
Ms. Zimmerman wrote, “The privacy rights of our students are important to us and we appreciate your concern. We have notified the appropriate law enforcement agencies both here in Tennessee and in Maryland in regards to this matter.”
