According to my crazy sister, all the racist southern Democrats became Republicans, so obviously Wallace just never had a chance to change over to the party he really belonged in . /idiot who failed to learn history correctly.

Well, they’re only off by 60 years or so. And politics weren’t really racial back then. There wasn’t much of an outcry when Wilson was segregating the military, barring blacks from federal service and screening Birth of a Nation in the White House.

I had a student who used to be a Chicago school teacher. According to him, the Carter economy was great because he had a job, the Reagan economy was terrible because he didn’t have a job, the Clinton economy was great because he had a job, the Bush economy was terrible because he didn’t have a job, the Obama economy was great because he had a job, and if it wasn’t for Boehner cutting off the 2 year supply of unemployment, he wouldn’t have almost lost his house as his unemployment expired.
Seriously, this is what is teaching our kids. Or was until those terrible Republicans closed down that Chicago school where he taught.
