A Settlement Conference

At the end of the hearing for the preliminary injunction I sought in the Hoge v. Schmalfeldt copyright infringement case, Judge Hollander offered the possibility of a settlement conference presided over by a Magistrate Judge. Because I was amenable to the idea, she ordered both The Dreadful Pro-Se Schmalfeldt™ and me to participate in such a meeting. The conference was originally scheduled in November, but it has been move up to today.

It will be held beginning at 10 am in the chambers of Magistrate Judge Sullivan.

Amen

  2. As an aside, the Maryland database shows the case against KimberlinUnmasked as closed.

    Is it over, over?

  3. Good luck.

I don’t need to remind you that CBBS apparently has a history of reneging on settlement agreements.

  4. In my opinion WMS is not going to enjoy this morning. Remember the second worse case for him is the Judge denying his Second Amended Complaint in his counter claim. The worse case will be for the Judge to approve his Second Amended Complaint in his counter claim.

  5. On the left side of a table today we have Bill. Bill is encouraged by the fans of a man who just sued and lost because people identified him as a terrorist, a drug dealer and a pedophile. On the other side of the table is a man called John. John gets his strength from the memory of a brave man who picked up a bomb, 2 scared children half a world away, a grieving family, a dead grandmother.

  8. An attempt at a settlement conference with Bill Schmalfeldt is the definition of a waste of time. I realize the Judge didn’t know that, but it seems like it would have been possible to get it canceled by showing the Judge WMS’s unreasonable statements on the matter.
