One Year Ago Today

Another retrospective post …

McCain on Schmalfeldt

Originally posted on 28 July, 2013

Sore Loserman Bill Schmalfeldt has gone on a rampage of flaky DMCA takedown notices over the last few days. The Other McCain has been one of his targets. Stacy McCain offers his thoughts on the situation here.

[Y]ou are back to the status I first described on Sept. 4 of last year when, at the end of a 954-word post, I called you an “obscure assclown.”

This I intended not as a mere insult, but as a statement of fact: You are obscure — an insignificant and unpopular nobody, which is why I hadn’t paid any attention to you prior to September 2012 — and you are quite nearly the textbook definition of an assclown. This is a compound word combining the meaning of “ass” — stupid and/or obnoxious –– and “clown,” a laughably incompetent person. If there were an Encyclopedia of Internet Pests, the entry defining “assclown” would end with a notation: “See also, Bill Schmalfeldt.”

Read the whole thing. It’s 5000 words long and worth every syllable.

I’m informed that the DCMA counternotice for The Other McCain shows an address outside of Maryland and consents to the jurisdiction of the U. S. District Court for that non-Maryland district as required by 17 USC § 512(g)(3)(D). The Cabin Boy has a couple of weeks to respond. Who knows? He may think racking up all those frequent flier miles is worth the cost of engaging in frivolous litigation.

  1. McCain sums it up pretty well with this:
“You seem to think you deserve attention, but when you get the kind of attention you deserve, you don’t seem to appreciate it very much. You threaten and harass people, and if they ignore your threats, you accuse them of cowardice. But when these people take notice of your bizarre and hateful conduct, you claim that you are a victim, that they have harassed or otherwise wronged you.”

    • Indeed – I’d forgotten what a tour de force of sarcasm, insight and defiance that piece was. I think I’d better make it a point to drop Stacy a line or two.

      • I actually missed it somehow the first time around. Thankfully, when some people post things and the posts stick around.

  2. A timeless, humorous reminder to be of stout heart.

When there’s blood or money on the line, there is no such thing as a fair fight. Be the dragon and kick Sir William’s jiggly ass.

  3. So a year ago he was pulling crap that he now swears is killing him. Beats me how any rational being can spend a year claiming that litigation is killing him when he’s been the one starting it for all that time. Or he’s lying. My money is on the latter.

    • Leave it to Bill to hid behind a grieving young family to take shots like he did, doing the same thing with his mom, the death of an child, the threat of deportations

Bill’s day is coming soon – be looking for a quick sale on a trailer in the next 2 weeks

    • Brilliant!!! A Classic Tour de Force!!!

Everything about Bill Schmalfeldt of Elkridge, Maryland that you need to know!!!

      Encore!!!! Author!!!!!!!

A private message to you, Elkridge Horror:

There is nothing more appropriate for you than these lines from Shakespeare’s King Henry V, (suitably amended):

“God quit you in his mercy! Hear your sentence.
You have conspired against our royal person,
Join’d with a small, diminutive inconsequential enemy
      proclaim’d and from his coffers
      Received the golden earnest of our death;
Wherein you would have sold your king to slaughter,
His princes and his peers to servitude,
His subjects to oppression and contempt
And his whole kingdom into desolation.
      Touching our person seek we no revenge;
But we our kingdom’s safety must so tender,
Whose ruin you have sought, that to her laws
We do deliver you. Get you therefore hence,
Poor miserable wretch, to your death:
The taste whereof, God of his mercy give
You patience to endure, and true repentance
Of all your dear offences! Bear him hence.

  4. I’m triple posting this because I was remiss when Tulip responded to my query and want to make sure my reply is seen. Adding – I apologize it took me so long to reply, Tulip.

“Tulip – the news was so shocking, I forgot to thank you for bringing it. Your efforts are very much appreciated, thank you. I hope you’ll post more, on easier topics.”

    • Thank you, Jane, there’s absolutely no need to apologize. I really wasn’t expecting a reply, only wanted the friends of Michael Malone here to be made aware of what had happened as quickly and effectively as I could. I was stunned and anxious that you all appeared not to know.

Since I’d never posted, if you didn’t see my reply I knew Mr. Hoge would see my comment in moderation and let everyone know in the manner he felt most appropriate.

Thank you also for encouraging me to post again. I’ve been lurking for quite a while and have grown to admire you all very much. I hope to be able to contribute something of merit at some point and under happier circumstances. I would be honored to join the party for the celebration when Mr. Hoge, the Universe, et al prevail!

      • You’re very kind, Tulip, as you’ve already shown. 🙂 Thank you for taking the time, then and now.

IMO, sometimes the best contribution is just being there, you know?

Glad to hear from you again! 🙂

  5. BS, investigative journalist, fails to realize that those are FAKE numbers in Krendler’s parody, and makes noises about someone contacting the widow to “warn” her. Can’t make this stuff up. Krendler, I suggest that you change Mike’s name in that piece to something like Bruce Banner, or Klark Kent or something like that. I wouldn’t want the kids to come across that and wonder what was going on. Just a suggestion given with good intentions.

    • Problem is Bill, he knows he’s heading for a fall and wants to do as much damage as possible – problem is his victims are in Alabama, as I posted yesterday the laws by state – he would be highly foolish to contact her and the state and his friends will react in due course

  6. Bill is all kinds of stupid. THE INFO IS FALSE BILL! My goodness are you dumb. Investigative journalist my ass.

  7. Look, this has been done by him before. Now he is going to harass that family hoping that we all do something that gets him out of the Grand Canyon he has dug for himself –

DON’T FALL FOR IT – seat belts – just watch him impeach himself everyday – the family will get assistance if they ask for it – Alabama will not let a Stranahan happen

    • I second this. As Jane said over at TMZ, MM no doubt warned his wife weeks ago. His family has an attorney, and he has friends on the police force.

To highlight BS’s gross negligence in his latest post, I will point out a couple things that require no Internet research. First, no local number has a “555” prefix, and that’s exactly why the movies are full of phone numbers that include 555. Almost everyone knows this, and an “investigative journalist with a thirty year career” definitely would. Or should.

Second, his so-called outrage at the revelation of an insurance policy is ludicrous. Obituaries never mention them, and THEY ARE NOT A MATTER OF PUBLIC RECORD. Policies are private contracts, and IF there is one, the only people who would know are the Malone family, maybe an attorney, and the insurance company.

So, why all the moral outrage over something that clearly didn’t occur, namely, publication of sensitive material? Because he wants to be angry, he wants to feel morally superior, and he wants to paint others as the initial offenders and his inferiors.
