I remember for my second-grade Write-a-Book entry I had a sci-fi theme, with one of the characters living in a habitat on the Moon that mined Lunar ice for rocket fuel. Some time afterwards an article came out in the 1998 Washington Post mentioning the Lunar Prospector mission finding possible evidence of 10 billion tons of water. I was so pleased with myself as a kid, that both my fantasy future was that much more possible, and that I had thought of ice on the moon before I heard about it.
