WaPo reports that the White House has blown the cover of the CIA top officer in Afghanistan.
The CIA’s top officer in Kabul was exposed Saturday by the White House when his name was inadvertently included on a list provided to news organizations of senior U.S. officials participating in President Obama’s surprise visit with U.S. troops.
The White House recognized the mistake and quickly issued a revised list that did not include the individual, who had been identified on the initial release as the “Chief of Station” in Kabul, a designation used by the CIA for its highest-ranking spy in a country.
Just wait until this bunch is in charge of your healthcare.
Oh …
Will the person responsible be charged and convicted and share a cell with Libby? No?
What a shock.
Typo in last sentence.
Yes, I saw this. I swear, it’s like a bunch of children playing dress up. “Incompetence” just isn’t a strong enough word.
Thanks. Fixed it.
Anyone heard from Valerie Plame about this?
And there is the question of whether this was truly unintentional, or someone just wanted it to look unintentional.
That I’m even thinking this, and I’m sure I’m not the only one, speaks volumes about the regard in which the current administration is held.
Oh, in keeping with their tradition, the White House laid blame elsewhere. On the military. Perhaps as a Memorial Day gift.

It might be amusing if it weren’t so stupid & dangerous…
Except that Valerie Plame was not and never was an field operative she was a administrative employee, hardly a secret since she wrote checks on the CIA credit union to pay her bills
oh well that’s right he wasn’t convicted for outing her Scooter was convicted because he couldn’t recall the exact conversation he had with a reporter 3 years earlier
Dead man walking…

It’s OK. We know that you can totally delete something from the internet once it’s been released.
Europe has that covered right?
This from the administration that wants people to send ACA application paperwork via snail mail if they can’t access the website.
Life imitates Yellowbeard. (Remember when Eric Idle was introduced in open court as “the head of Her Majesty’s secret service, not to be read out loud.”?)
That was funny. This is pathetic.
Remember, this bunch is Smarter Than You(TM). They have degrees in Government from elite universities. You on the other hand are peasant nobodies in flyover country (and even if you’re not in flyover country, you’re still peasants).
The mind boggles. Not only do they ID the guy, they helpfully include his job title in case it wasn’t clear what he did there. And then go all “no harm, no foul” because a revised list superseded the original. It’s a good thing we have such great diplomatic relations with Russia, Al Qaeda and the rest of the world. Otherwise something bad might happen to the guy. Y’know, like being mistaken for a Republican or something.
Your ending there Cube had be sputtering. Very well put.
