Uranus Seen From Saturn

Uranus from CassiniThe Cassini spacecraft took its first picture of the planet Uranus on 11 April, 2014. Distant Uranus shows up as the small bluish dot in the upper left of the frame, barely resolved by Cassini‘s camera as the spacecraft orbited Saturn.

  1. That’s a very cool picture with Saturn in the foreground; however, I must admit you are not at the top of my personal list of bloggers whom I want to see posting pictures of Uranus. I would sooner expect that from that other wiseguy down the road. #HappyPunDay

  2. For some reason I was expecting to see a tiny, tiny picture of the Cabin Boy ‘shopped over the actual planet.
