The New Horizons spacecraft will fly by Pluto in 2015. I’ve been interested in the mission since it was in the planning stage and I happened to wind up sitting next to Alan Stern, the mission Principal Investigator, in a sushi bar in Columbia, Maryland, back in the late ’90s.
