That’s how many I purged from my follower requests backlog today. Over the past few days, I purged roughly 30,000 more.
There are still some left to go. Twitter doesn’t give any indication of the number remaining.
I am not amused.
I am also not convinced that it’s a coincidence that three of the defendants in a particular lawsuit were hit with spambots using the many of the same avatars. As Ian Fleming wrote in Goldfinger,
Once is an accident. Twice is coincidence. Three times is an enemy action.
UPDATE—I dumped another 11,559 follower requests between 10 and 11 pm this evening. That makes 34,098 for the day. And there’s still more to go.
