My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather settled in that area. He had previously lived near what is now Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey after coming from Scotland in 1680.
That William Hoge and his wife Barbara are buried at the Opequon Presbyterian Church.
