Point of Information

It has been noised about on the Interwebs that I celebrate adultery or that this blog does. That is not true.

I take what God says about it seriously. I don’t encourage it. I don’t support it. I don’t celebrate it.

I also rarely talk or write about it. This blog isn’t about tabloid journalism. Adultery happens and is sometimes a driving factor in a story, but adultery per se is not a focus of this blog.

UPDATE—An anonymous coward from Team Kimberlin wishes to preach to me:TK20130710aYes, my son is overweight. The problem stems from a side effect of a drug he was taking for serious medical condition. He is now on a different regimen and has lost a significant amount of weight.

The anonymous coward preaches on …
TK20130710bHaughty eyes. Would that be like assuming you’re enough smarter than the average bear so that getting caught is simply bad luck?

A lying tongue. Is that kinda like perjury?

Hands that shed innocent blood. Could that blood come from a man’s leg after it had been blown off by a hidden time bomb?

A heart that devises wicked plans. Like smuggling contraband drugs, or plotting murder of a prosecutor, or lying about selling drugs to a political candidate, or … ?

Feet that make haste to run to evil. Like a recurring habit of stalking one’s critics and enemies?

A witness who breathes out lies. Like a guy who testifies that he did not engage in behavior for which there is clear documentation that he did?

One who sows discord among brothers. Like someone who falsely accuses his wife of mental illness in front of her children?

No, I haven’t forgotten that passage from Proverbs, and I think that it tells us a great deal about God’s sense of justice.

  1. You have ever made fun of BS or BK’s family members or their appearance. They do it to your son a lot.

    • Well …. I did have a couple of Pinky and the Brain jokes about trying to find a tutu in Bill’s size and the Disney Costume Department wanting their tutu back.
And I did publish a picture sent in by a commenter that had the Cabin Boy’s face on Jabba the Hutt.

      • And he continues to make fun of your son on his twitter feed. Interestingly, a few weeks ago he claimed that his weight gain was due to Parkinsons. He then posted an old picture of himself with his pregnant ex-wife, and well . . . I wonder what his excuse was then? A time warp? People who live in glass houses . . . .

      • The Cabin Boy claims that he weighed “a bit over 200 lbs” in the picture you reference. I don’t know about the Navy, but the Army would put a soldier his height and age who weighed more than 185 lb on a mandatory weigh loss program and if his body fat wasn’t reduced below 22%, he’d be involuntarily discharged.

Please read this verse and especially this part… “…which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures to their own destruction.”

    2 Peter 3:16

    New American Standard Bible (NASB)

16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

The Bible also says of them, “Raca!”

  3. They’re really preachy, aren’t they? Isn’t Brett Kimberlin an atheist? What does he care about marriage fidelity? Just feels like a big plate of alinsky with a side of hypocrite.

  4. When I see things like this, I recall the well-known fact: Whatever the Left accuses the Right of is what they themselves are doing.

And, as someone who is on many medications as a result of the cancer I had seven years ago, I can attest to the fact that drug side effects can be a bitch.
