NASA’s TRMM satellite made this image of Hurricane Sandy today at 1415 UTC (10:15 ET). Click the image to embiggen. BTW, Sandy is a girl’s name, so Bride of Frankenstorm makes more sense than Frankenstorm.

Oh, I dunno. Isn’t Sandy and nick name for Sanford? I’ve met a couple Sanfords in my day.
NOAA names the storms in an alternating pattern male/female one year and female/male the next. They say that Sandy is a girl.
Ah. Got it.
You’d think they would use the full name, Sandra, instead of the shortened Sandy.
Elsa Lanchester (pictured) played the role of the monster’s bride. The actual “Bride of Frankenstein” was the doctor’s wife, played by Valerie Hobson.
Picky, picky, picky.
Actually, I preferred Terri Garr as Mrs. Frankenstein.
Voof.
