But He’s Our S.O.B.

Cordell Hull, FDR’s Secretary of State, once said of Dominican Republic dictator Raphael Trujillo. “He’s an S.O.B, but he’s our S.O.B.” One wonders if that isn’t the way the Main Stream Media feel about Barack Obama.

They can’t objectively look at the economic roadblocks his policies have put in the way of recovery and see success. They can’t objectively look at what is going on in places such as Iran, Syria, an Egypt and see success. They can’t do the math on the President’s budget proposals and see solvency. Yet, these allegedly objective journalists act as if they are on a mission to assure the President’s reelection, and some of them are aghast that right-wing trolls of the blogosphere dare to inject facts into the public discourse.

Uh, huh.

Let’s cut to the chase. It’s not about Truth. It’s about Power. It’s about who will be in charge. Will it be Progressives who see themselves as modern philosopher kings (“My IQ is probably higher than yours.”—Joe Biden)? Or will it be those troglodyte Conservatives who want to take us back to the 18th-century?

That’s an important choice. And if the truth gets too inconvenient …

UPDATE—Breitbart reports an Inconvenient Truth (H/T, Instapundit).
