What Happened Today

As I posted earlier, there was a hearing in District Court today concerning a Peace Order that I sought. That earlier post contains everything that I wish to say about the matter until I have talked further with my counsel.

I also had a productive meeting with an Assistant State’s Attorney concerning criminal matters that are pending. I will have nothing further to say about those cases until advised to do so by either the State’s Attorney or my counsel.

OTOH, this does not mean that the Gentle Reader must be in the dark about all this. Aaron Walker was present at the hearing and will be blogging about what he saw.

  1. Mr. Hoge,
    Thanks for the posts and I have a scripture for you today;

    Deuteronomy 31:6
    Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

    This verse in context was spoken by Moses to Israel who were about to go into the promised land. But it is very fitting for what you are going through.

  2. Dear Mr. Hoge,

    I left a very similar comment over at Aaron’s blog, so forgive me if I’m repeating myself.

    Will you please explain to me, a non-profit worker, a complete amateur who would rather be briefly water-boarded than appear in a courtroom, why, when one’s entire case *HINGES UPON* the proof that a certain malefactor sent one harassing messages *AFTER* being asked to stop (and said evidence exists), one would *NEGLECT TO BRING SAID PROOF TO COURT* with one?!

    Sorry to yell, but I would have brought said proof, and I would rather suffer mild (and non-disfiguring, because I’m a girl) torture than ever appear in court. I even hate jury duty, for pity’s sake. I am irate because you didn’t, and I’m really tired of inconclusive jousts. I like you, and I’d like to be assured that CBBS is no longer troubling you and yours.

    • Who is say he didn’t? For all we know, Mr Hoge entered the notice into evidence, and, the CBBS piously denied receiving it.
