Neil Rauhauser and Ron Brynaert have ducked service of the Walker v. Kimberlin, et al. lawsuit. As Aaron Walker has pointed out, that’s the legal equivalent of bringing fists to a gun fight. There will be hearing on 29 August seeking default judgements against them.
Brett Kimberlin was served and did answer the complaint. He has not, however, provided any responses to Mr. Walker’s lawyers’ discovery interrogatories. Nada. Zilch. This is slightly better than the et al‘s non-response, more like bringing a knife. You can read more about the case here. Mr. Walker’s lawyers will seek a court order compelling Mr. Kimberlin’s cooperation with discovery when they are in court on the 29th.
I had a phone conversation with Aaron Walker earlier this evening. The substance of our talk was off the record, but I can say that he and his lawyers seem to have a good plan about how to proceed. He and they deserve our support. Justice can’t be bought, but it still costs money.
