I’d Like a Voter Registration Form for My Pet Cat Eric

The AP is reporting about an organization called the Voter Participation Center that is sending out pre-filled-out voter registration forms. Some are being sent to pets and dead people. Some also seem to be going to non-citizens. RosieĀ Charlston received one of the forms. Rosie was a Black Lab that died in 1998, a twofer as a dead pet.

Perhaps the VPC will allow me to offer some advice. If you’re going to register any more pets, especially dogs, you probably will want to get a commitment from Barack Obama on his future dietary plans. Otherwise, you risk registering a Republican voter.

Oh, and I really don’t want a form for my pet cat Eric. My cat’s name is Bob.

  1. My daughter and I just this week were mailed our new voter registration cards. It seems that the location of our polling place has been changed from the church one mile away, to a community center in the heart of town. I am pleased to note that my late wife DID NOT get a new card ! (Although I did note in the primaries her name was still on the role next to mine.) She has only been dead for six years ! but as a loyal Dupeocrat, I am amazed that the Dems. did not keep her on.
